The George Foundation’s website needed to reflect the history, generosity, and practical community impact of a deeply rooted Fort Bend County institution. The Foundation describes its work as “Together, building a thriving Fort Bend,” supporting local nonprofits through grants and aspiring local students through scholarship opportunities.
Our work focused on helping the site communicate both legacy and accessibility. As a place-based grantmaker, The George Foundation serves residents of Fort Bend County through funding and collaboration with local nonprofit partners, so the digital experience needed to make grantmaking, scholarships, funding priorities, community stories, and organizational information easier to understand and navigate.
The creative challenge was to present a foundation with deep historical roots in a way that still feels current, approachable, and useful to today’s community partners. Through website design, content organization, page layout, CMS structure, and ongoing production support, the project helped create clearer pathways for nonprofits, students, partners, and community members. It is a strong example of design supporting stewardship: honoring a long-standing legacy while helping people find practical opportunities for funding, partnership, and local impact.
