The Episcopal Diocese of Texas

Project Details

The Episcopal Diocese of Texas website serves a large, historic, and highly active faith community with many audiences, ministries, resources, events, clergy, staff, congregations, and regional connections. Founded in 1838, the Diocese now spans nearly 70,000 square miles and 81 counties, which makes clarity, structure, and accessibility essential to the digital experience.

Our work on Epicenter.org has focused on helping a complex organization communicate clearly across many layers of content: diocesan news, leadership resources, governance, regional information, events, formation, ministries, contact pathways, and public-facing information. The creative challenge was to make the site feel welcoming and useful without losing the depth and breadth of the Diocese’s work.

This project required thoughtful information architecture, page design, content organization, CMS structure, and ongoing production support. The site needed to serve both internal church audiences and the wider public — helping clergy, lay leaders, congregations, seekers, staff, and community members find what they need quickly. It is a strong example of digital design serving a living institution: honoring history, supporting day-to-day communication, and creating clearer pathways for connection, formation, and ministry.
